PUK Iraqi parliament Elections Iraq Kurdistan Region

Karwan Gaznay, Spokesperson of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), urged citizens to head to the polls with enthusiasm and confidence in their choice of representatives.

Speaking at a press conference after casting his vote at a polling station in Sulaymaniyah, Gaznay said: “Today marks an important and historic day for the people of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as they elect their true representatives to serve them.”

He continued: “I call on citizens to go to the polls with enthusiasm, and they know who to vote for — a party that has played a key role in addressing the issues of salaries and the budget and is respected and listened to in Baghdad.”

Gaznay added that the PUK is confident in its stance and its supporters, expressing hope that the elections would be conducted in a democratic and transparent manner.
