Iraqi President Congratulates the Iraqi People on Successful Completion of Elections

Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid congratulated the Iraqi people on the successful completion of the general voting process for the sixth term of the Iraqi parliament.

In a statement on X, the President said: “We congratulate our people and all political forces on the successful completion of this important electoral process and the success of this democratic exercise, which affirms the Iraqi people’s commitment to peaceful means in shaping their governance. We wish all political forces, parties, and movements success in the elections.”

He added: “We emphasise the necessity of respecting the results and working in a spirit of patriotism and the greater good to form a parliament and government that reflect the true will of the citizens and work to fulfil their aspirations and demands for a dignified, safe, and stable life. We reiterate our thanks and appreciation to all who contributed to organising and ensuring the success of the elections.”
