The general voting process for the Iraqi parliamentary elections has officially concluded, with ballot boxes closed electronically on schedule.

On Tuesday, 11 November 2025, voting began at 7:00 a.m. across Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, where 8,703 polling centres—comprising 39,285 polling stations—were opened to the public. Voters cast their ballots to elect 329 members of parliament from among 7,700 candidates contesting nationwide.

Earlier, on 9 November, more than 1.1 million voters participated in the special voting process for security personnel and internally displaced persons, with turnout reaching 82.48%.

While the electoral process proceeded smoothly and without major incidents, overall voter turnout in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region was lower than expected.
