Iraqi President receives credentials from newly appointed ambassadors

On Thursday (June 27, 2024), President of the Republic of Iraq Abdullatif Jamal Rashid received credentials from newly appointed ambassadors at Salam Palace in Baghdad.

President Rashid accepted the credentials of Serbian Ambassador Bratislava Zezelj, Turkish Ambassador Anil Bora Inan, Somali Ambassador Ridwan Hirsi Mohamed, Malawi Ambassador Younis Abdul Karim, South African Ambassador Tselane Mokuena, Slovenian Ambassador Gorzad Renecelj, and Georgian Ambassador Archil Dzuliashvili.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, as well as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Hussein Bahr Al-Ulum, were in attendance.
Following the presentation of credentials, the bilateral relationship between Iraq and the other countries was discussed. President Rashid emphasised mutual respect and constructive dialogue as the foundation for strengthening connections between and among nations.

The newly certified Ambassadors expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome and emphasised their commitment to deepening and expanding relations with Iraq in a variety of mutually beneficial areas.
