Rifaat Abdullah: Deepening the Spirit of Brotherhood and Coexistence is Essential

On Monday, 8 June 2026, Rifaat Abdullah, Vice President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Romeo Hakari, Secretary-General of the Bet-Nahrain Democratic Party.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the political situation in Kurdistan and ways to strengthen relations between the two parties. They also underlined the importance of unifying political discourse, promoting unity, and reinforcing solidarity among all political parties and groups in Kurdistan.

Both sides stressed that strengthening the spirit of brotherhood and coexistence among Kurdistan’s diverse ethnic and religious communities remains essential and of great importance.
