Kurdistan Region Vice President Praises UK Support for Peshmerga Forces

Kurdistan VP Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa's meeting with Colonel Chris Hellier.

Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, received Colonel Chris Hellier, on the occasion of the completion of his mission as British Military Adviser to the Global Coalition Against ISIS.

During the meeting, the Vice President expressed his appreciation for Colonel Hellier’s service in his role with the Global Coalition against ISIS. He also described the military assistance provided by the United Kingdom to the Peshmerga forces and the Kurdistan Region as significant and effective, particularly in the fight against ISIS.

For his part, Colonel Hellier thanked the relevant authorities for their support and coordination, which contributed to the success of his mission. He further stressed the importance of continuing military and humanitarian cooperation and coordination between the United Kingdom and the Kurdistan Region.
