Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, praised the Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its important and challenging role in advancing the development of Halabja.

During a visit to the Chamber on the occasion of opening their new building on Monday, Talabani met with its officials and discussed ways to support economic development and investment opportunities in the province.

"The Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry has an important and challenging role in advancing the development of Halabja," Talabani said in post on his Facebook page. "We will extend our full support to enable the Chamber to facilitate investors, entrepreneurs and businesspeople in implementing their projects."

He also said: "We also congratulate the Chamber on the inauguration of its new building. We expect significant achievements from the institution and are confident in its ability to meet the aspirations of the people of Halabja."
