President Bafel: Ongoing coordination supports combating lawbreakers

PUK President received Iraqi Interior Minister in Sulaymaniyah
Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, the Iraqi Interior Minister, in Sulaymaniyah Province.
Both sides focused on extending cooperation and coordination between the security services of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as they talked about the security situation in the country and the coordination of measures to maintain stability.
Rafaat Abdullah, Executive Decision-Maker of the PUK Political Bureau; Shalaw Ali Askari, Executive Member of the PUK Political Bureau; Jalal Sheikh Naji, Director of Parastin and Zanyari/Zanyari Agency; Wasta Rasul, Head of Peshmerga Organization Headquarters; Hiwa Ahmad, Head of the Asayish Agency; and Aso Sheikh Taha, Director of Sulaymaniyah Police, attended the meeting.
President Bafel Jalal Talabani stated that it is everyone's responsibility to protect civilian lives and maintain regional stability, and that he is prepared to offer any assistance to the Iraqi internal forces. "Ongoing coordination is an important factor in bolstering and taking additional measures to combat lawbreakers and everyone else who represents a threat to the country's peace," he added.
