France Condemns All Acts of Violence Targeting Civilians in Aleppo

France has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security situation in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods of Aleppo, Syria, condemning all acts of violence targeting civilians and urging the immediate implementation of a ceasefire.

The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement: "France is following with grave concern developments in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighbourhoods of Aleppo and condemns all acts of violence targeting civilians, who must be protected. It calls on all parties to exercise restraint and to implement an immediate ceasefire."

It added: "France continues its efforts to facilitate dialogue between the Syrian Transitional Authority and the Syrian Democratic Forces, in coordination with the United States, and reaffirms its commitment to the full implementation of the March 10 Agreement, which is essential for the unification of Syria and the stability of the region."
