President Bafel: Our aspirations need returning to the Constitution

President Bafel's meeting with Muthana al-Samarai and Rayan al-Kildani

Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Muthana al-Samarai, the leader of al-Azim Alliance, and the Secretary-General of the Babylon Movement, Rayan al-Kildani in Baghdad.

The discussion covered the relations between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region and stressed the necessity for national consensus building to settle disputes and advance the country's unity and solidarity.

The meeting emphasized the new government's efforts to uphold the law, combat corruption, and provide services as well as its support for these endeavors. It also urged all parties to approach the situation with responsibility and help guide the nation toward stability.

President Bafel emphasized that the PUK's efforts to solve problems and create a better future are all for the purpose of upholding the law and promoting social justice, saying, "Our ultimate goal is to serve our dear people." 

"Mutual understanding and returning to the Constitution are also essential to accomplishing these challenging objectives," he added.
