President Bafel Jalal Talabani meets with Ayad Allawi in Baghdad

Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Ayad Allawi, Secretary General of the Iraqi National Movement, in Baghdad.

The meeting, which was attended by Qubad Talabani, the Supervisor of the Secretariat Office of President Mam Jalal, and Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the PUK Political Bureau Executive Board, covered the most recent political developments, the implementation of the government program, and relations between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad.

The importance of ongoing communication and commitment to the Constitution was underlined by both sides as a point of agreement between the parties.

President Bafel remarked that brotherhood and togetherness is a key in preserving stability and addressing open concerns, pointing to the role of the Iraqi revolutionary forces in defending the rights of the Kurdish people.

He declared that the PUK supports any initiative made to address the problems and ensure the region's future stability and peace.
