PUK Serves, Protects Kurds in Kurdistan & Baghdad

The PUK, having previously played a pivotal role in initiating the uprising, is now following the path of President Mam Jalal and adhering to the decisions made during the fifth congress.

In Baghdad, the PUK is steadfast in upholding the rights and legitimate demands of the Kurdish people. In the Kurdistan Region, its primary objective is to rectify the course of governance and prioritize efforts to serve and enhance the lives of the people.

President Bafel said in a statement for the 33rd anniversary of the Kurdish uprising: "We will correct the misguided political direction and protect the Kurdish constitutional role in the political decision-making centre in Baghdad. We emphasise that the PUK will not abandon its citizens."

"Our actions are solely focused on safeguarding the paramount national interests and ensuring the people's prosperity while protecting Kurdistan's territory," he added.

PUK has a new vision and never gives up

Ziad Jabar, a member of the PUK's Leadership Council and the Head of the PUK's headquarters in Sulaymaniyah, stated to PUKMEDIA: "The PUK, having previously guided the wills of previous generations in the uprising and formed the institutions of the Kurdistan Regional Government, continues to possess the capability to devise political and economic resolutions with a novel and modern vision. It also continues to guide its new generations with the same uprising spirit."

"The PUK is on the path of President Mam Jalal and follows the decisions made during the fifth congress. The PUK is unwavering in its commitment to uphold the rights of our people and will rectify any deviations in governance. Its primary focus is to provide economic prosperity, salaries, safeguard citizens' property, and promote the continued growth of democracy and freedom of speech," he continued.

"At the same time, it endeavors to enhance cordial and efficient connections with the federal government in order to secure the constitutional rights and privileges of the Kurdish people, which constituted the primary objectives of the 1991 spring uprising," he added.

PUK prioritizes the welfare of Kurdish citizens

Khidr Mustafa, a member of the Leadership Council and the Head of the Soran headquarters, stated to PUKMEDIA: "The PUK has been the model of uprising and liberation, and it is currently dedicated to rectifying the course of governance and prioritizing the welfare of the people."

He continued, "The PUK's current strategy for the well-being of the people is a continuation of President Mam Jalal's path, and the previous steps of President Bafel demonstrate the PUK's commitment to serving the people, which has become evident for the people."
