PUK President: Our Goal is to Safeguard National Stability

Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, met with Mohamed al-Halbousi, the leader of the Taqadum (Progress) Party, in Baghdad.
 
The meeting emphasised the importance of improving cooperation and coordination between the two parties in order to tackle difficulties and overcome obstacles. 

The completion of the political and legal processes for the election of the Speaker of the Iraqi parliament, as well as the removal of any remaining barriers in accordance with national agreements, were also underlined during the meeting.

President Bafel reaffirmed PUK's commitment to finding a solution and putting an end to the conflicts, saying: “Our goal has always been to safeguard national stability and the lives of the people, and we will keep doing so.”
