Chinese consul: We'll strengthen our ties with the PUK

The Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) are prepared to further strengthen their connections because it is a historical tradition created by President Mam Jalal, according to the People's Republic of China's consul general in the Kurdistan Region.
Ni Ruchi, the People's Republic of China's consul general in Erbil, confirmed in an interview with the Kurdish Kurdistani Nwe newspaper that "The Communist Party of China and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan maintain friendly exchanges as a historical tradition," adding that "Mam Jalal, the founder and secretary-general of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, was the first Iraqi president to visit China following the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries."
The People's Republic of China's Consul General stated, "The Communist Party of China is eager to further deepen friendly relations with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, strengthen inter-party exchanges, and work together to overcome all types of global challenges."
“The PUK is one of the political parties with whom the Communist Party of China is committed to cooperating in order to advance human civilization and progress”, he said. "The Communist Party of China is committed to carrying out its original mission and message, exchanging experiences in the party and state governance with political parties around the world.
Dr. Mohammad Saber, a diplomat and former ambassador of Iraq to China, has previously stated regarding the situation, "The PUK should revive the idea of opening the PUK's bureau in Beijing as its foundation is built and the Chinese government agrees to have a PUK bureau."
He continued, "Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the PUK, should strengthen these relations and visit the People's Republic of China to meet senior officials of the Communist Party of China. The PUK was the first party in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region to have long-standing and historical relations with the Communist Party and the Chinese government”.
"The PUK has been given special funding by the Communist Party of China to send a delegation of media professionals as well as a high-level political delegation to China. Because China is significant, as Mam Jalal stated, this relationship needs to be restructured," Ambassador Dr. Mohammed remarked.
