Iraqi Counter-Terrorism arrests five terrorists, one of which is an ISIS leader

On Tuesday, the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, announced the arrest of a leader of the ISIS gangs known as "Abu Ali Baghdad" and four other terrorists in a number of provinces.

Rasoul stated, "Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service carried out a series of duties that targeted the active elements of ISIS terrorist gangs."

"The operations carried out in the capital, Baghdad, resulted in the arrest of a leader of the ISIS gangs known as (Abu Ali Baghdad), who participated in the implementation of several heinous crimes against citizens and security forces," he revealed.

He continued that four terrorists were arrested in the governorates of Anbar, Kirkuk, and Saladin, pointing out that a terrorist element belonging to ISIS gangs was overthrown inside Slemani Governorate, where the operation was carried out in coordination with Slemani's Asayish.
