The documentary film 'Evan: A Survivor's Story' has been officially selected to participate in the 2022 Barcelona International Film Festival (L'HIFF) .
The film was directed by the Kurdish Rafiq Fuad Yarahmadi from Eastern Kurdistan.
Yar Ahmadi told PUKmedia, "the film 'Evan: A Survivor's Story' has been selected to officially participate in the 2022 Love & Hope International Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain."
"The length of the film is 18:15 minutes; it is a co-production by Rafiq Yarahmadi and Tomaso Aramini, who is Italian and holds a doctorate in cinematography.
The L'HIFF will be held on September 10, 2022 at 19:00.
Evan is a documentary film that portrays the story of a Kurdish journalist from Kirkuk, who was forced to leave the city with his children, like thousands of other displaced Kurds, after ISIS attacked the city.
Yarahmadi indicated that this incident is similar to what the director of the film faced, who was also forced to leave eastern Kurdistan and chose to become Peshmerga and then was exiled.
