PUK President: Maintaining Stability in the Kurdistan Region Must Remain the Top Priority

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Dr Rewaz Fayeq, a member of the PUK Political Bureau, alongside Wasta Rasul and Salar Mahmood, members of the party's Leadership Council, as well as Amal Jalal and Veteran Peshmerga Halo Qaranawi.

During the meeting, President Bafel highlighted the new roles and responsibilities assigned to a number of comrades across various PUK institutions. He noted that the regional situation remains unstable due to ongoing conflict and military developments, stressing that maintaining stability in the Kurdistan Region must remain the top priority.

He also reaffirmed his support for party members, outlining the PUK’s policy and strategic direction, and emphasised the party’s commitment to resolving issues through peaceful means while keeping the Kurdistan Region removed from wider conflicts.
