Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid received Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani in Baghdad.

The Prime Minister offered his condolences and expressed his sympathy to the President on the passing of his brother, Shamal Jamal Rashid.

The two sides also discussed the latest political and security developments across the country. The President and the Prime Minister also reviewed ongoing talks between political blocs regarding the formation of the new government, emphasising the importance of adhering to constitutional timelines.

Both sides underlined the need to intensify consultations to ensure the government formation process is completed without delay.
