PUK President Praises Judiciary, Urges Political Unity

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani's meeting with Faiq Zaidan, President of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met in Baghdad with Faiq Zaidan, President of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq.

The meeting was attended by Nizar Amedi, member of the PUK Political Bureau, and Khalid Shwani, Iraq’s Minister of Justice. Discussions focused on the importance of continued coordination and cooperation among political parties, as well as the need to accelerate the formation of a national service-oriented government that fulfils the aspirations of the people.

Both sides also underlined the necessity of safeguarding constitutional and legal rights in a manner that reinforces stability across the country.

President Bafel commended the judiciary’s vital role in ensuring the success of the parliamentary elections. He reaffirmed that the PUK will continue its efforts to unify all parties, promote national unity, and work diligently to deliver better services to the citizens.
