Nearly 320,000 Tourists Visit 3 Provinces of Kurdistan Region

Tourists in Kurdistan Region
During the Eid al-Adha holiday, a total of about 320,000 tourists, primarily from central and southern Iraq as well as Iran, visited the provinces of Erbil, Sulaimaniyah, and Halabja.
Based on the data and information gathered by PUKMEDIA from the Sulaymaniyah Tourism Directorate, over 120,000 tourists visited Sulaymaniyah during the holidays, with the majority coming from central and southern Iraqi regions.
Based on the analysis of tourist visits to Sulaymaniyah this year, there was an increase of 20,000 tourists compared to the previous year. Specifically, during Eid al-Adha 2023, approximately 100,000 people visited the tourist regions of Sulaymaniyah.
The Halabja Tourism Directorate told PUKMEDIA that a total of 84,176 tourists visited the province during Eid al-Adha. Additionally, 40 breaches and warnings were documented.
In addition, as reported by the Erbil Governor's office, a total of 117,421 tourists visited the province over the Eid al-Adha.
