President Bafel: Everyone Must Prevent Iraq from Becoming an Arena to Settle External Disputes

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Ammar al-Hakim, Leader of the Wisdom Movement, in Baghdad.
The meeting focused on recent political developments and emphasised the importance of coordinating national efforts to maintain domestic stability and address the challenges impeding political progress.
The discussion also emphasised the importance of finding a constitutional solution to the conflicts between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the federal government. The aim is to ensure that all endeavours lead to a favourable outcome and safeguard the rights of employees. Therefore, people's lives should not be mixed with political disputes.
The meeting also addressed the increased tensions in the Middle East. In this regard, President Bafel stated: "The surrounding area is currently experiencing a difficult situation. All parties must take appropriate political measures and act responsibly. It is critical for everyone to ensure that the country does not become an arena for resolving external conflicts, as this is our primary goal."
