Yemen Reveals Khor Mor Victims' Names

The Republic of Yemen strongly condemned the drone attack on the Khor Mor gas field in Sulaymaniyah and revealed the names of the dead and injured, all of whom were Yemeni citizens.
The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the attack in a statement and said that it was in constant coordination with the Yemeni embassy in Baghdad to find out the cause and details of the incident.
"The ministry is working with the relevant Iraqi authorities to return the bodies of the martyrs to their country," it added.
The Yemeni Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the dead and wounded were:
Names of the dead:
1- Ali Abdullah Ahmed Nasser
2- Yousef Yasser Hammoud Farah
3- Essam Mohammed Ahmed al-Kazemi
4- Awad Abda Ali al-Myas
Names of the injured:
1- Munir al-Jarbani
2- Ammar al-Qubaiba
On Friday evening, April 26, 2024, two drone strikes occurred at the Khor Mor gas field in Sulaymaniyah Governorate, resulting in the deaths of four Yemenis and the injuries of four others. The origin of the drones remains unidentified, and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
Khor Mor is a key gas field operated by the UAE-based Dana Gas in Chamchamal town, Sulaymaniyah Governorate. It provides fuel for Kurdistan Region’s power generation plants. The field was established in 2007, and by supplying gas to the power plants in Chamchamal and Erbil, it produces 67% of Kurdistan Region's electricity.
