Members will vote on the new party bylaws today, the second day of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan's (PUK) fifth Congress, after discussing the draft bylaws. However, according to a congress spokeswoman, the Political Bureau members will not be elected at the congress.

Talar Latif, Spokeswoman of the Fifth Congress of the PUK, told PUKMEDIA: "The second day of the congress is currently underway, during which the members of various committees, including programme, complaints, fifth congress party education, rules, political speech, martyrs, prisoners, and disabled, will officially register their names. These members will then present their reports to Congress for further deliberation and discussion.

"The draft by-laws of the party will undergo voting during the congress. Additionally, it will address the determination and voting on the techniques and mechanisms related to the three councils: the Leadership Council, Support Council, and Supreme Political and Interest Council," she added.

"Following the election of leadership members, a comprehensive assessment will be made, considering the participation rate of women and geographical distribution.
