President Bafel: Our Goal is to Achieve Stability

PUK President and Iranian Foreign Minister.
Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Tehran.
They stressed the importance of developing and promoting cordial relations and expanding collaboration between the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the Islamic Republic of Iran in order to accomplish the highest interests and maintain regional stability.
President Bafel expressed the PUK's perspective on recent political changes in the region, saying: "Our goal is to achieve regional stability and coexistence." To that end, we believe that responsible discourse and understanding are the only ways to overcome difficulties and achieve national goals."
Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian emphasized President Mam Jalal's intelligent role and policies, saying that he was a leader who brought together all diverse voices and colors and that his influence in constructing a new Iraq will not be forgotten.
Another topic of discussion at the meeting was the expansion of economic and trade links between the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and Iran, with both parties agreeing to boost collaboration and trade exchanges.
