The Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region highlighted the need to keep internal unity and see dialogue as the key to solving problems. What discussion may do cannot be accomplished in any other way."

The PUK has not closed the door to dialoguePUK has always tried for Kurdish unity and opened the door to any dialogue and initiative to resolve the issues.
Hamad Amin Shirwani, a member of the Leadership Council of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), told PUKMEDIA: "The PUK has always seen Kurdish unity and serving the people of the Kurdistan Region as its duty, and it will do everything to achieve these goals. The initiatives of the PUK President in Mam's houses in Dukan and Baghdad show the PUK's concern for Kurdish unity."
"The PUK has always believed that dialogue is the best way to resolve problems, and it has never closed the door on dialogue because it believes that in the absence of dialogue, there is no other alternative way."
The situation in the Kurdistan Region requires unityPUK has always viewed dialogue as a solution to challenges and has used it to assist the region’s citizens.
Ahmed Zrar, a member of the PUK Leadership Council, told PUKMEDIA: "The PUK has always tried to meet the needs of the people, provide more services, and work toward Kurdish unity. Meetings and talks have always been the way to do this." The situation in the Kurdistan Region calls for unity, and keeping that unity is the best way to protect national values and constitutional rights.
Zrar said: "The PUK's policy on Kurdish unity and problem-solving remains unchanged." Since the beginning, it has worked tirelessly for Kurdish rights and unity, making several sacrifices in the process."
"Therefore, following in the footsteps of the late President Mam Jalal, the PUK believes that the only way to resolve problems is through dialogue and that this is the best way to help the people of the Kurdistan Region."
Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani met with Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs Barbara A. Leaf in Erbil on May 4, 2023. In a meeting, Qubad Talabani said in the meeting: "Internal problems are putting the Region's standing at risk. We should all work to resolve them responsibly." "Political and party conflict shouldn't escalate to the point of crossing national boundaries, especially not to the point where it weakens the region's standing with Iraq."
"Even with the inclusion of representatives from our allies, we are ready to organize a joint committee to resolve all the points of contention, and we welcome any proposal to do so," he added.
