Health Promotion Department warns of the development of fifth wave of Coronavirus

The Federal Ministry of Health confirmed that Coronavirus is spreading more rapidly during the fifth wave of the pandemic that Iraq is currently experiencing compared to the previous waves.
The Director of the Health Promotion Department, Haitham Al-Obaidi, said in a press statement that difficult cases within the fifth wave of the Coronavirus pandemic were not recorded, but the spread of the virus is higher than in the previous waves.
He indicated that the severity of the infection may increase or parallel the previous waves. "We warn against its development of severe lung injuries, as happened in the third and fourth waves."
He emphasized the need to adhere to preventive measures by society and various state departments, and the unvaccinated must hurry to take the anti-Coronavirus vaccine.
Since the 20th of June, the number of daily infections with Coronavirus has risen continuously.
