KRG Ministry of Health: Health measures have been taken to confront the spread of cholera

The Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Regional Government announced that multiple health measures have been taken to confront the spread of cholera in the Kurdistan Region.

Health Minister Dr. Saman Barzanji said in a press conference, "We have dozens of cases of diarrhea and vomiting, and we are conducting all laboratory tests for them. We have confirmed cases of cholera in Erbil and Slemani."

"We have taken many medical measures to confront the spread of cholera, especially following up on food and water sources. Citizens must follow health instructions to prevent cholera, and we coordinate with the Ministry of Municipalities to control water sources and conduct continuous regular checks on water sources," he added.

Barznji expressed his support for the Slemani governorate to confront the spread of cholera and revealed that they provided more than 10 tons of medicines and medical supplies to Slemani.
