Over 1.2 million students begin final exams in Kurdistan Region

The Minister of Education in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced the start of final exams at all school levels of the Kurdistan Region on Sunday.

"Today, the final exams for grades 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 began, and next Tuesday the final exams for the 9th grade will begin," Minister of Education Alan Hama Saeed said during a press conference.

The 9th grade of schools in the Kurdistan Region takes a national exam along with their schools' final exams in which the exam questions are unified in all schools.

"More than 1.2 million students are participating in the final exams, and this year, thanks to God, was a good year and we did not encounter any problems," the Minister of Education, noting that the KRG has provided all the requirements that schools need, including books and other supplies.

"The Ministry of Education has plans and procedures that it will implement before the start of the new school year, including providing school supplies, distributing lessons to teachers, and reviewing curricula," he added.
