Head of Iraqi Martyrs Foundation: 120,000 people martyred in terrorism crimes

The head of the Iraqi Martyrs Foundation confirmed that they provide the necessary services to all the families of martyrs and the wounded without any discrimination.

Abdullah al-Naeli told PUKmedia, "The Martyrs Foundation supports all the martyrs of Iraq without any exception, starting with the martyrs of the Baath crimes before the year 2003, the martyrs of the Popular Mobilization, the martyrs of terrorism and the martyrs of the security services in the defense and interior, and the number has increased."

"The Martyrs Foundation provides the necessary services to all the families of the martyrs in accordance with the laws in force, and we have more than 60,000 martyrs from the crimes of the Baath, and 30,000 from the Ministry of the Interior and 30,000 in the Ministry of Defense, and we have 120,000 martyrs from the crimes of terrorism," al-Naeli added.

He explained that the Foundation offers the families of these martyrs pensions and the right to housing by giving them a plot of land or a housing unit or a cash allowance, pointing out, "We are waiting for the allocations of the Ministry of Finance to compensate the families of the martyrs in addition to health and social care for the families of the martyrs."

"We also have supporting bodies that cooperate with our institution to provide the best essential care for the families of the martyrs, in addition to our care for a huge number of wounded," he added.
