The famous gold earrings of Sumerian king showcased at Sulaymaniyah Museum

The famous seven million dollars earrings of King Shulgi is presented to visitors in Sulaymaniyah Museum.
On June 22, 2005, the Sulaymaniyah Museum of Kurdistan Region purchased the gold earrings.
The earrings are now one of the major representations of the Sulaymaniyah Museum.
The earrings of King Shulgi (son of Ur-nammu) the Ur III Sumerian king, its history goes back to 1982-2029BC and they cost the bargain price of 7,000.00 USD according to a report by Osama Shukir Muhammed Amin, an Iraqi researcher.
Both earrings weigh approximately 48 grams and are of a 24-carat purity.
The upper surface of the earring was decorated at its center with a group of three circles joined together tangentially forming a trifoliate shape.
