Kurdistan Region Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani has bid farewell to French Ambassador to Iraq Patrick Durrell and German Consul General Albrecht von Wittke as they conclude their diplomatic missions in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

In a post on social media, Talabani thanked both diplomats for their cooperation and their contributions to strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and the two partner countries, France and Germany.

“I expressed my gratitude to both gentlemen for being immensely cooperative with us in further advancing our relations with our two friendly and partner nations, France and Germany,” Talabani wrote.

He wished both diplomats success in their future roles, adding that their cooperation and dedicated efforts would be remembered.

Qubad Talabani Reaffirms Support for Chaldean Patriarch

Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, has reaffirmed his support for the Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and worldwide.

In a post on his Facebook page, Talabani said: “I was pleased to meet once again with His Beatitude Patriarch Mar Paul III Nona, Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and worldwide.”

The Deputy Prime Minister added: “We reaffirmed our support for him and stressed the importance of unity among religious leaders from all faith communities in Kurdistan to promote the values of tolerance, brotherhood and peaceful coexistence in our homeland.”
