President Bafel Receives Mahmoud Sangawi in Dabashan

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Comrade Mahmoud Sangawi, a senior veteran fighter and prominent figure of Kurdistan and the PUK, in Dabashan.

During the meeting, President Bafel paid tribute to Mahmoud Sangawi’s longstanding record in the Kurdish struggle and the ongoing political journey led by the PUK, noting that as a distinguished Peshmerga commander he has consistently been at the forefront of the national cause and remains deeply committed to Kurdistan and its people.

For his part, Sangawi expressed his support for President Bafel’s leadership and positions, stating that the PUK is “in safe hands” and welcoming its firm stance in defending the rights of the Kurdish people and ensuring equal service across all regions of Kurdistan.
