KRG Urges Public and Media Not to Share Footage of Drone or Missile Attacks

The Media and Information Department of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has called on citizens and media outlets to comply with its directives in order to safeguard national security.

In a statement obtained by PUKMEDIA, the department emphasised that publishing videos or images showing drone or missile attacks, or the locations where they strike or fall, on social media platforms is strictly prohibited. The public was also warned against approaching such locations.

The department further urged all media organisations to act responsibly and refrain from revealing the locations of such incidents, noting that doing so could undermine security efforts.

The Media and Information Department stressed that anyone who violates these instructions will be held legally accountable, calling on both the public and media institutions to cooperate in protecting public safety and national security.
