Bafel Jalal Talabani Expresses Condolences on Death of Kurdish Leader Salih Muslim

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), expressed deep sorrow over the death of Salih Muslim, a senior Democratic Union Party (PYD) leader, praising his pivotal role in West Kurdistan and his close ties with the PUK in defending Kurdish rights.

PUK President’s message is as follows:

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Salih Muslim, a member of the Presidency of the PYD.

I offer my heartfelt condolences to the people of West Kurdistan, to his PYD colleagues, and to the proud family of the late Mr Muslim.

As one of the leading figures of West Kurdistan, Mr Salih Muslim played a pivotal role in national matters, and his close ties with the PUK were a key factor in our shared efforts to defend the rights of our people.

May the soul of our departed comrade rest in eternal peace, and may God grant comfort and solace to all.
