PUK President Discusses Government Formation in Baghdad

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), held talks in Baghdad with Abu Ala al-Walai, Secretary-General of Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada.

The meeting focused on steps towards the formation of Iraq’s new government and recent political developments.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the constitutional timetable and stressed the importance of convening a parliamentary session next Sunday to elect the President of the Republic.
