Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received a senior delegation from the Progress Party, led by its Vice President Mohammed Tamim, at the residence of the late President Mam Jalal in Baghdad.

The meeting was also attended by Rifaat Abdullah, Vice President of the PUK; Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the PUK Political Bureau; and Dr Khalid Shwani, Iraq’s Minister of Justice. Discussions focused on the current political situation in Iraq and developments across the wider region.

Both sides underscored the importance of forming the new Iraqi government within the specified timeframe.
