PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani's meeting with Hadi al-Amiri, leader of the Fatah Alliance.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met in Baghdad with Hadi al-Amiri, leader of the Fatah Alliance.

The meeting was also attended by Rifaat Abdullah, Vice President of the PUK; Darbaz Kosrat Rasul, a member of the PUK Political Bureau; and Dr Khalid Shwani, Iraq’s Minister of Justice. Discussions focused on the overall political and security situation in Iraq and the wider region.

Both sides underlined the importance of accelerating the formation of the new Iraqi government and developing a unified national project for the government’s programme, one that prioritises improving public services and safeguarding Iraq’s national interests.
