PUK President: We Seek to Build a Government That Responds to People's Aspirations

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani's meeting with the delegation of the Political Bureau of Al-Sadiqoun.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received a high-level delegation from the Political Bureau of Al-Sadiqoun, headed by Dr Naeem Aboudi, in Dabashan, Sulaymaniyah.

The meeting was attended by Darbaz Kosrat Rasul and Nizar Amedi, members of the PUK Political Bureau. Discussions focused on strengthening relations between the two sides in a manner that safeguards the supreme national interests and serves the people and the country.

Both parties underscored the importance of continued constructive dialogue and comprehensive cooperation among political forces to ensure the success of the political process, maintain stability in Iraq, and adhere to constitutional timelines for the formation of the new Iraqi government.

During the meeting, President Bafel reaffirmed the PUK’s national policy of genuine partnership in Iraq. He stressed the importance of collaborative efforts in building an effective government capable of responding to the needs of the people and contributing to national renewal.

“We seek to build a government that responds to the people's aspirations and needs, serves more, and revives our country, and this can only be achieved through joint projects,” he said.
