PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani's meeting with Hadi al-Amiri

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Hadi al-Amiri, leader of the Fatah Alliance, in Baghdad.

The meeting was attended by Nizar Amedi, a member of the PUK Political Bureau, and Iraqi Minister of Justice Dr Khalid Shuwani. Discussions focused on ongoing political efforts aimed at forming a new Iraqi government.

Both sides agreed that the forthcoming government must respond to the aspirations and demands of citizens and work to protect the country’s highest interests.
