PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani's meeting with Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, President of the Wisdom Movement.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim, President of the Wisdom Movement, in Baghdad.

The meeting was attended by Nizar Amedi, a member of the PUK Political Bureau, and Iraqi Minister of Justice Dr Khalid Shuwani. Discussions focused on the latest political efforts aimed at forming a new Iraqi government.

Both sides stressed the need to accelerate the government formation process and agreed that the interests of citizens must take precedence over political disputes, in order to safeguard the constitutional rights of the Iraqi people.
