PUK President Underscores Constitutional Path to Government Formation

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met in Baghdad with Faiq Zaidan, President of Iraq's Supreme Judicial Council.

The meeting, attended by Nizar Amedi, member of the PUK Political Bureau, and Khalid Shwani, Iraq’s Minister of Justice, stressed the imperative of upholding constitutional principles in the process of forming the new Iraqi government.

President Bafel affirmed that strict adherence to the Constitution is the sole viable avenue to resolve outstanding issues and to steer Iraq towards enhanced stability.
