PUK President: Next Iraqi government Must Be Capable of Addressing the Country’s Challenges

PUK President Bafel Jalal Talabani's meeting with Progress Party Leader Mohammed al-Halbousi.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), met with Mohammed al-Halbousi, leader of the Progress Party, in Baghdad.

The meeting was attended by Nizar Amedi, a member of the PUK Political Bureau, and Iraqi Minister of Justice Dr Khalid Shwani. Discussions focused on strengthening coordination among political forces to ensure the success of the political process and the formation of a strong and effective government.

President Bafel outlined the PUK’s vision for the next Iraqi government, stressing that it must be capable of addressing the country’s challenges radically, while remaining firmly committed to protecting the constitutional rights of all citizens.
