PUK General Studies Centre Hosts Seminar on Governance and Reform in Kurdistan

The General Studies Centre of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) organised on Saturday, 13 December 2025, a special seminar featuring Farid Asasard and Dr Yousif Goran, titled “The Kurdistan Political System: Between Crisis and the Possibility of Change.”

Held in the Centre’s round-table hall, the seminar provided an important forum to examine key challenges facing governance in the Kurdistan Region, including economic and geographical imbalances, disparities in economic and social development, and comparative examples from international experiences.

During the discussion, Asasard and Dr Goran also outlined potential pathways for reforming the political system in Kurdistan, with the aim of restoring economic stability, improving public services, and rebuilding a comprehensive and balanced model of development.
