Deputy PM Qubad Talabani Takes Part in Investment Forum in Sulaymaniyah

Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani will take part in an investment forum in Sulaymaniyah today.

The event has been organised by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in cooperation with the Sulaymaniyah Investment Unit. Its purpose is to link local investors with the IFC and international partners, create new investment opportunities, secure financial support, and encourage economic diversification alongside private sector development.

Established in 1956, the IFC operates in more than 100 countries. As a key member of the World Bank, it has worked in Iraq since 2005, investing $2.5 billion in banking, trade and agriculture, and contributing to the creation of 28,000 jobs.
