Kurdistan Region Celebrates First Day of Eid al-Fitr

The Kurdistan Region is celebrating the first day of Eid al-Fitr on Sunday, 30 March 2025, while the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) declared a week of public holidays to celebrate the occasion.

The Kurdistan Region's citizens joined other Islamic countries in celebrating the first day of Eid al-Fitr today, 30 March 2025. They honoured the religious event by congratulating, visiting one another, and visiting the graves of their lost loved ones.

Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Lebanon, Kuwait, Bahrain, Palestine, and Türkiye have declared today the first day of Eid al-Fitr, whereas Iraq, Iran, Syria, Jordan, Oman, Pakistan, Australia, and Japan have designated Monday as the first day of Eid.
