Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), congratulates the people of Kurdistan on the occasion of Newroz and the Kurdish New Year.

President Bafel's message for Newroz:

Happy Newroz and Kurdish New Year, and I wish you happiness and prosperity. 

I hope that this year's Newroz, occurring simultaneously with the sacred month of Ramadan, will enhance the sense of solidarity and harmonious coexistence throughout the Kurdistan Region. On this sacred national and religious day, we stress the importance of unity and solidarity among all political factions and parties in order to better serve our citizens and together foster more prosperity and stability in our Kurdistan region.
