Shalaw Kosrat Rasul to British CG: We are Ready for Elections

Shalaw Kosrat Rasul received James Goldman, British Consul General and his accompanying delegation in Sulaymaniyah on Wednesday evening.

Shalaw Kosrat Rasul greeted the newly appointed British Consul and wished him well in his new role at the start of the meeting.

Both sides talked about the state of affairs in the Kurdistan Region, the outcomes of the provincial councils' election in Iraq, and relations between Kurdish and Iraqi political forces and parties. The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), according to Shalaw Kosrat Rasul, wants to settle all disputes through dialogue and consensus.

The meeting also covered the upcoming legislative elections. Shalaw Kosrat Rasul declared, "We are ready for the elections," making reference to the schedule and preparation for the event.
