President Bafel: Drone assaults have put regional stability in jeopardy

He urged the international community, particularly those nations that are part of the coalition forces and have contributed to the battle against terrorism, not to remain silent in the face of these violations and terrorist acts and to take action to prevent them.

President Bafel: It is essential to build national consensus

He raised the subject of Halabja as well. Concerning the governorship of Halabja and the parties' support, President Bafel insisted that the governorship and reconstruction of Halabja were everyone's responsibility and that the governorship was a pittance in exchange for the sacrifice they had made. 

President Bafel: Creating Obstacles to Halabja's Governorship Would Not Benefit Any Party

In addition, they discussed the assault on the Arbat airfield. President Bafel stated, "Preventing aggression and defending the nation's sovereignty requires national unity; therefore, everyone must collaborate to prevent these attacks and ensure the stability of our territory."

The meeting also addressed the possibility of Halabja becoming a governorate. President Bafel stated, "Putting obstacles in the way of Halabja becoming a governorate would not benefit anyone; instead, everyone should fulfill their moral duty and conscience by attempting to rehabilitate and compensate the city."

President Bafel: Under No Circumstances Should National Borders Be Crossed


In Baghdad, President Bafel Jalal Talabani convened a meeting with Hadi Al-Amiri, the leader of the Al-Fatih Alliance.

President Bafel Jalal Talabani addressed the salaries of Kurdistan Region citizens as well as the topic of Halabja becoming a province, declaring: “Our priority should be to resolve the financial issues and maintain employee wages aside from political disputes so that our citizens are no longer in distress.”
