Slemani University Ranks first in Kurdistan Region and Third in Iraq

In the latest ranking by Webometrics for publication and google citation, the University of Slemani ranks first in Kurdistan Region and third in Iraq.

For this huge achievement, Professor Kosar Muhammed, the Chancellor of the University, stated, "This is the product of all the efforts taken by the teachers, the students, and the employees."

"I applaud the researchers at our university for the high-quality research they are conducting, which has led to obtaining the first position by the University of Slemani, the oldest university in the region, and taking the third position in Iraq," He added.

The chancellor asks all the teachers to do their best in educating the students and to work harder for improving the university by "Establishing a direct and strong scientific and academic relationship between the university and the society."

It is worth mentioning that the University of Baghdad has 6000 full-time teachers, and Basra University has 2527 full-time teachers compared with the University of Sulaimani, which has 2100 full-time teachers, with this relatively small number of teaching staff, this can be considered a huge achievement for the university.
