Twelfth-grade student begin their final school exams in Kurdistan Region

On Monday, the Twelfth-grade exams began in the Kurdistan Region.

The exams started at 7:30 am (local time) with 107,135 students going to 2,175 exam halls.

Slemani Governor Haval Abubakr and Director General of Slemani Education Dilshad Omar visited the exam hall and said that they have worked to provide a peaceful environment for students.

"We visited the exam halls today and we saw a peaceful atmosphere created for students," Slemani Governor Haval Abubakr told a news conference, adding that the police and security elements have been put on alert and all security measures have been taken to protect students.

For his part, Dilshad Omar, Director General of Education in Slemani, said: "658 Exam halls have been prepared in Slemani governorate.... 28,728 Students will participate in the exams."

"All measures have been taken to prevent students from cheating," he added.

The 12th grade is the last grade of schools in the Kurdistan Region. Students compete over achieving the highest grade marks to go to their desired university or college.
